From 16 to 18 September, we had the pleasure of taking part in EuroFinance International Treasury Management for the third time, in Barcelona. Held every year, EuroFinance is the leading international event for corporate treasury: more than 2,600 treasury professionals from over 60 countries gather there for three days of conferences and roundtables.
After Copenhagen and Budapest, we were in Barcelona to welcome treasurers and CFOs at our stand IH9 and to host, on 17 September, our interactive roundtable « Cash-equivalent strategies for higher rates », led by David Zerbib, Investor Relations at Fintis.
As the room filled up, Jas Haikou, CFA, founder of Fintis, and Thomas Berthelé, CFA, Partner – Investor Relations, each took charge of a table. To break the ice, we had designed four investor profiles, The Sentinel, The Ladderer, The Optimiser and The Pioneer, each reflecting a different way of approaching cash. Every participant began by choosing the profile that suited them best.
Then the cards were reshuffled. As the conversation went on, the profiles shifted, and many participants recognised themselves in more than one. An investor’s profile is not fixed: it evolves with the business, and knowing when to adjust makes all the difference.

We come home grateful, and eager to write what comes next. Copenhagen, Budapest, Barcelona: three editions, each more memorable than the last.
Thank you to the EuroFinance organising team for their welcome since our very first edition, and to everyone who came to meet us.
The conversations continue until the next edition.
